MVC Announces Updates to MBB Conference Schedule

The Missouri Valley Conference has announced new dates for six MVC men's basketball games.

The Conference has announced rescheduling dates for Southern Illinois' men's basketball postponed games with Loyola and Drake, originally scheduled for Jan. 2 and Jan. 5, respectively, at Banterra Center in Carbondale, Ill.  Drake will play at SIU on Monday, Jan. 17, while Loyola will play at SIU on Thursday, Jan. 27.

Those two rescheduled games have resulted in two additional date shifts, as Valparaiso will now visit Southern Illinois on Jan. 30 (originally scheduled for Jan. 29), while the Evansville at Valparaiso game will move to Feb. 2 (originally scheduled for Feb. 1).

Additionally, Illinois State and Evansville will switch their home-away series.  Illinois State will host Evansville on Jan. 9 (the game was originally scheduled to be played in Evansville on Saturday, Jan. 8).  The mirror game will take place Jan. 23 with Illinois State visiting Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.   The site/date change was accommodated to provide additional time for Illinois State, which postponed its game with Loyola on Jan. 5 as it did not have enough available student-athletes to compete.

The Conference office will work in conjunction its member schools and television partners to set network designations and start times as soon as possible.
