ST. LOUIS - UNI has been picked as this year’s preseason favorite in Missouri Valley Conference softball as voted by the league’s coaches. The Panthers earned five first-place votes and 93 points narrowly edging out second-place Southern Illinois. The Salukis garnered three first-place votes and 92 points, while Missouri State rounded out the top three with one first-place vote and 77 points.
