ST. LOUIS - Missouri State earned the top seed in the 2020-21 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Soccer Championship, capping off the MVC season at 7-1-0 (21 points) to claim the outright MVC regular-season crown for the second-straight season. The regular season title is the ninth for the Bears men’s soccer program.
The top seed Bears will host No. 4 Bradley (1-6-1 MVC) at 6 PM CT on Tuesday, April 13. Missouri State beat Bradley 3-0 in Springfield back in February and claimed a 1-0 overtime win in Peoria back in March.
Drake and Loyola each finished the conference slate with identical 5-2-1 records (16 points). The Bulldogs will be the No. 2 seed and host the No. 3 seed Ramblers Tuesday at 2PM CT. Drake claimed the head-to-head tiebreaker with a 2-1 win in Des Moines back in March, while the teams tied 0-0 back in Chicago in February.
All three matches of the 2020-21 MVC Men's Soccer Championship, including two semifinals on Tuesday, April 13 and the championship match on Saturday, April 17 will be available for fans to follow via live streaming on
ESPN+. Kyle Peach (play-by-play) and Ty Keough (analyst) will call the championship match.
The winner of the league tournament receives the MVC's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. Attendance policies for the MVC Men's Soccer Championship vary from site to site based on university, local and/or state restrictions.
