Male Track –
Noah Malone, Fr., Indiana State (Fishers, Indiana)
Freshman Noah Malone led an impressive group of Indiana State sprinters at Ole Miss, collecting the only individual wins for the Sycamore track & field program on both the men's and women's side. He began his day with a victory in the men's 100-meter dash, clocking an impressive time of 10.61 which leads the Missouri Valley Conference, is 45th in the NCAA East Region and 86th nationally. His time was also faster than both the Americas and USA Para Records. Malone followed that performance by clocking a time that is faster than the 200-meter dash Para World Record en route to winning the event at 21.55. That time also gives him the lead in the Valley for the 200-meter dash. Malone also raced as a member of the Valley-leading 4X100-meter relay squad that owns the top time in the MVC of 41.29.

Female Track –
Anneka Murrin, Jr., Loyola (Yarmouth, Maine)
Loyola junior Anneka Murrin impressed in her 2021 outdoor debut at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. this past weekend. Making her 5,000m run debut, Murrin, who was just 11 days removed from competing at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, clocked the third fastest time in program history in the event, racing through 16:24.30 to finish 21st overall. The Yarmouth, Maine native's time, which leads the Missouri Valley Conference, ranks third overall in the NCAA West Region.

Male Field –
Ricky Hurley, Sr., Southern Illinois (Fox River Grove, Illinois)
Ricky Hurley continued his strong start to the outdoor season with another quality showing at the Ole Miss Classic. In the hammer, Hurley finished second with a best throw of 64.18m (210’-7”). He also took third in the discus at 52.95m (173’-9”), which stands as the top mark in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Female Field –
Kristin Higgins, Sr., Illinois State (Geneva, Illinois)
Coming off of a third-place finish and personal-best clearance at the MVC Indoor Track & Field Championships, Kristin Higgins opened the 2021 outdoor season in similar fashion taking first in the high jump with an outdoor personal-best of 1.75 meters (5-8.75 ft.) at the Ole Miss Classic. Her clearance of 1.75 meters ties for the seventh-best high jump mark cleared in Illinois State outdoor track & field history, leads the Valley by 1 ¾ inches, is No. 18 in the NCAA West Region and tied for No. 25 in the NCAA.
