AUSTIN PHYFE, UNI

Men's Basketball, Sr.

Elementary Education; 3.60 GPA

 

Austin Phyfe, a senior on the UNI men’s basketball team owns a 3.60 GPA as an elementary education major. In 2019-20, Phyfe was a First-Team Scholar Athlete selection as well as a Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award recipient.  On campus, he is a member of the UNI Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) as well as a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The senior also participated in UNI basketball’s Adopt a Panther, where players would go to schools and explain life lessons. Phyfe was also involved with Panther Pen Pals, where UNI student-athletes respond to letters written by young fans. He was a key driver in the UNIty Walk where hundreds of people marched across the UNI campus to show unity for marginalized groups and stand against violence. 

 

Heneghan SA

GRACE HENEGHAN, SOUTHERN ILLINOIS

Radiological Science; 3.81 GPA

 

Oak Lawn, Illinois native Grace Heneghan, is a sophomore diver for the Saluki swimming and diving team and holds a 3.57 GPA in radiology sciences with a focus in therapy. Off the board, she is the women's diving representative for SIU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and has put in over 30 hours volunteering at the Carbondale Library. In high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and volunteered to teach swimming to young kids. Last season, Heneghan earned personal records with a 203.47 on the one-meter and 191.62 on the three-meter boards.
