Brown SA

TRENT BROWN, SOUTHERN ILLINOIS

Men's Basketball, So.

Management; 4.00 GPA

 

Trent Brown, a sophomore on the Saluki men’s basketball team, holds a perfect 4.00 GPA in management. Off the court, he is a member of SIU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club and was active in the Saluki Unity walk earlier this year. A Scottsdale, Arizona native, Brown has volunteered at youth basketball camps in Arizona and has been involved in charity walks for suicide prevention. On the court, he has started every game this season, often guarding the opposing team’s best player. Offensively, he is one of the nation’s premiere 3-point shooters, hitting 48% of his attempts this season.

KATIE NIMROD, UNI

Women's Track & Field, Jr.

Movement & Exercise Science; 3.74 GPA

 

Nimrod is a junior on the UNI women's track and field team and has a 3.74 GPA as a movement and exercise science major.  She is a Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award winner, Athletic Director Honor Roll recipient in all semesters as well as an MVC Scholar-Athlete team honoree. Katie is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and a member of the Physical Therapy Club.  She has volunteered at the Cedar Valley Boys and Girls Club,  the Cedar Valley Food Bank, and with Special Olympics. She also participated in the Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service Event at the UNI-Dome in 2020.
