Singles Player of the Week

Sandra Maletin, Bradley, Jr., Belgrade, Serbia 
Sandra Maletin remains undefeated and moves to 5-0 this season with her 6-3, 6-3 win against Michaela Xibilia of Kansas City in the No. 1 flight. With Saturday’s victory, Maletin secured her 50th career singles win and is only the 10th player in Bradley history to achieve this feat.
 

Doubles Team of the Week

Tara Damnjanovic/Natalia Bravo, Illinois State
Natalia Bravo and Tara Damnjanovic proved to be a dominant force with a clean 2-0 record at the No. 1 position. The duo captured the close match against Western Illinois’ Ballesteros and Simhambhatla 6-4 before taking down Ochalik and Grubb of IUPUI, 6-3.

Claire Czerwonka was victorious this weekend with her 6-2, 6-3 win over Mayya Perova, 2019 All-Horizon League Freshman of the Year, in the No. 1 position. Czerwonka picked up her 36th career win and is within two of entering the Top 10 for singles victories at Valparaiso.

Tara Damnjanovic, Illinois State, So., Valjevo, Serbia 
Tara Damnjanovic went undefeated at the No. 1 spot this past weekend helping lead the Redbirds to a perfect 2-0 record. Damnjanovic reigned victorious over Western Illinois’ Laura Ballesteros 6-3, 6-2 and defeated IUPUI’s Gabbi Ochalik 6-1, 6-2.
