State Farm MVC Scholar-Athlete Spotlight (Week 12)

Kuhlman

EVAN KUHLMAN, EVANSVILLE

Men's Basketball, Sr.

Finance; 3.27 GPA

 

Kuhlman has achieved a 3.27 GPA while working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s degree in Leadership.  He was named a 2020 Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention.  The senior has served as the men’s basketball representative with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).  He has been active in working with the organization to achieve their goals and have an active voice on campus.  In the Evansville community, he has supported many organizations.  He has played an active role in the Race for the Cure, which benefits Susan G. Komen organizations.  Each year that he has been at UE, he has worked to set up for the race and provide other assistance at the event.  Other involvement includes Reading Day, which sees him travel to local schools with other student-athletes to read to various classes, and a local soup kitchen.

Crompton

MARY CROMPTON, ILLINOIS STATE

Women's Basketball, R-So.

Chemistry; 4.00 GPA

 

Crompton is a redshirt sophomore on the Illinois State women's basketball team and is set to graduate this spring from her undergraduate degree before continuing to work on her Master's degree. Crompton is an Illinois State University Bone Scholar, a member of the AFNI and MVC Honor Roll and is also an MVC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence award winner. In the community, Crompton has volunteered twice at the Day of the Dozer as well as serving the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the YMCA Kick Off and 100 Caring Adults.
