Singles Player of the Week
Claudia Toledo, Sr., UNI (Davie, Florida)
Claudia Toledo went 2-0 in singles competition this weekend, evening out her season record at 3-3. Toledo was the sole Panther to win a match against Milwaukee, earning a 6-3, 6-1 victory of Milwaukee’s Clarke. Toledo defeated UW-Whitewater’s Martin 7-5, 6-2 in the No. 2 spot to finish the weekend with a perfect record. Toledo teamed up with Reghan Lynch to clinch the doubles point for the Panthers against UW-Whitewater.

Laura Fitzgerald, So., Illinois State (Greystones, Ireland)
Ivon Mihaleva, So. Illinois State (Sofia, Bulgaria)
The Fitzgerald/Mihaleva duo has been lethal, defeating DePauw’s Erin Friedrich/Amanda Showalter 6-4 at the No. 3 spot to stay unbeaten this weekend. Both Fitzgerald and Mihaleva went on to win their singles matches against DePauw as well.

Laura Fitzgerald has been on a roll for the Redbirds. She went 2-0 this past weekend at the No. 4 spot against Westmont, defeating Emily Peterson 6-2 and 6-0, and DePauw University, defeating Sarah Wilder 6-1 and 6-2. Fitzgerald is currently on a four-game winning streak.
Nolwenn Cardoso, Stony Brook
Nolwenn Cardoso def. M. Iinuma 7-6, 7-5 at No. 2 singles on Saturday. On Sunday, Cardoso defeated Niagara’s No. 2 singles player in a quick two-set match (6-1, 6-1).
