Singles Player of the Week
Sandra Maletin, So., Bradley (Belgrade, Serbia)
Maletin rolled through both of her matches at No. 1 Singles this past weekend, helping the Braves rally to wins in their first two dual matches away from home this year … In Friday’s 5-2 victory at Northern Illinois, Maletin pulled the Braves into a 1-1 tie by cruising to a 6-3, 6-1 victory against NIU’s Jovana Peric … In Saturday’s 4-3 win against North Dakota, Maletin forced a 2-2 tie in the team score by completing a 6-4, 6-2 win against UND’s Kaede Amano … Maletin now has won five consecutive matches at No. 1 Singles to improve to 13-3 overall for the year.
Doubles Team of the Week
Anna Alons, Fr., Missouri State (Salix, Iowa)
Ellie Burger, So. Missouri State (Chesterfield, Mo.)
Alons and Burger went 2-0, Friday, to help the Bears to a 3-0 ledger on the young season, earning wins against Western Illinois and Creighton. In the early match, Alons and Burger earned a dominant 6-1 win against the Leathernecks in the first flight, playing a crucial role in Missouri State taking the doubles point. Later that day, the pair would outplay Creighton, once again winning in the No. 1 spot, this time by a 6-2 margin. Missouri State would go on to slip past the Bluejays, 4-3, to remain undefeated.

Nolwenn Cardoso, Stony Brook
After clinching the doubles point with her teammate, Cardoso carried that momentum into her No. 3 singles match. The Paris, France native defeated her opponent in a hard fought 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 match.
Doubles:
Jamie Wei/ Nolwenn Cardoso, Stony Brook
In their first dual match of the 2019 season, Wei and Cardoso teamed up at No. 1 doubles and defeated Dolehide/Vincent 7-6 (6). The victory helped the Seawolves clinch the doubles point which lead to their overall 4-3 win over Army.
