The Missouri Valley Conference will conduct its 30th St. Louis-based postseason men’s basketball championship when the State Farm MVC Tournament takes the hardwood at Enterprise Center on March 5-8.
The State Farm MVC Tournament, also known uniquely as “Arch Madness” to Valley fans, will be played at Enterprise Center for the 26th time. With 30-straight years at the same neutral site, Arch Madness is the second-longest neutral site tenured collegiate tourney in the nation (following only the Big East in New York City).
The tournament -- for the 14th-straight year -- will begin Thursday and end Sunday. From 1997-2005, the tournament had started on a Friday and ended on a Monday.
“There are iconic brands in sports, but when comes to college basketball tournaments, Arch Madness has few peers. We are grateful that we can provide commemorative pieces of our 30-year history to our loyal fans,” said Jack R. Watkins, MVC Associate Commissioner and Arch Madness Tournament Manager.
In 2019-20, the Conference will have giveaways for fans at each tournament session and a year-long celebration of the league’s achievement through social media and on-campus activation.

“Arch Madness is a national college basketball brand, and to enhance the celebration of our 30th anniversary of staging our championship in St. Louis, we wanted to provide a commemorative item at each tournament session for the wonderful fans who have supported us here since 1991,” said MVC Commissioner Doug Elgin, who is in his 32nd year with the Conference.
