ST. LOUIS – Missouri State earned the top seed in the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Soccer Championship, capping off the MVC season at 10-0-0 (30 points) to claim the outright MVC regular-season crown and become the first team in league history to go 10-0-0 in a conference season. The regular season title is the eighth for the Bears men’s soccer program.
MSU ends the regular season with a 16-0 record, giving the Bears the first perfect regular season recorded by an NCAA Division I men’s soccer team since Akron in 2009.
Loyola, which finished its conference slate with a 5-2-3 record (18 points), will be the No. 2 seed and receive the other first-round bye along with Missouri State. Bradley earns the No. 3 seed (5-3-2 MVC, 17 points), while Drake (4-5-1 MVC, 13 points) claims the No. 4 seed and Valparaiso (3-7-0, 9 points) the No. 5 seed. Evansville (0-10 MVC, 0 points) will be the No. 6 seed.

All five matches of the 2019 MVC Men's Soccer Championship, including two quarterfinals on Wednesday, two semifinals on Friday and the championship match on Sunday, will be available for fans to follow via live streaming on
ESPN+. Sean Wheelock (play-by-play) and Ty Keough (analyst) will call the matches on Wednesday live from Loyola Soccer Park, while Kyle Peach (play-by-play) and Ty Keough (analyst) will call the Friday and Sunday matches.
