This week's Missouri Valley Conference swimmer of the week is Anna Miller of Missouri State and the diver of the week is Caroline Lecoeur of Illinois State.
Swimmer of the Week
Anna Miller, Jr., St. Louis, Mo. (Missouri State)
Miller impressed at the three-day Southern Methodist University Invitational, turning in an individual title effort in the 100 free (49.47) and a runner-up finish in the 50 free (22.74). Both times top the MVC and rank among the national standings at No. 55 and No. 58, respectively. The St. Louis product also swam a top-five time in the 100 fly, clocking in at fourth with a 54.22 mark and a seventh-place swim in the 200 free (1:51.09).
Diver of the Week
Caroline Lecoeur, Jr., Lyons, France (Illinois State)
Lecoeur turned in a pair of NCAA Diving Zone qualifying performances, two top five finishes and a school record at the Purdue Invite this weekend. The junior finished fourth overall in a field of 12 in the 3-meter dive on Thursday with a score of 293.34, accounting for 15 of ISU’s 21 total point to open the event. Lecoeur returned to the boards on Friday and boasted a season-best score of 301.60 in the 1-meter dive to finish third overall out of 16 competitors. As ISU’s only competitor in the platform diving event, Lecoeur finished 12th overall, posting a school record score of 177.10 on Saturday, finishing with 36 total team points for the Redbirds.
