ST LOUIS - Missouri State and Loyola Chicago each had a player earn a top individual honor. Loyola Chicago senior midfielder Aidan Megally claimed the league’s Player of the Year honor, Missouri State senior forward Matthew Bentley earned the Valley’s Offensive Player of the Year Award and Missouri State junior defender Kyle Hiebert claimed the Valley’s Defensive Player of the Year award. Missouri State net minder Michael Creek claimed the Goalkeeper of the Year award, while Loyola Chicago’s Andy Mitchell earned Freshman of the Year accolades. Megally, Bentley, Hiebert, Creek and Mitchell headline a list of 34 student-athletes named to the 2019 MVC All-Conference teams, selected by the coaches, and announced by the league office Thursday. The all-conference teams were recognized at an awards reception tonight in Chicago, Illinois.
