This week's Missouri Valley Conference swimmer of the week is Laura Carver of Southern Illinois and the diver of the week is Caroline Lecoeur of Illinois State.

Swimmer of the Week
Laura Carver, Sr., Owensboro, Ky. (Southern Illinois)
Carver led the Salukis with a team-best three individual event wins in SIU's sweeps over Bellarmine and Valparaiso last Friday. It was the second-straight week that Carver has won three events. The senior demonstrated her versatility in the pool, as she swam to first-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.26), 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.11) and 200-yard individual medley (2:10.33). She also placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.76. 


Diver of the Week
Caroline Lecoeur, Jr., Lyons, France (Illinois State)
The reigning Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Year only needed one meet to qualify for NCAA Diving Zones, as the Lyons, France, native finished first in both the 1- and 3-meter diving events in ISU’s season opener against Butler. Lecoeur turned in a score of 281.18 in the 1-meter dive, before returning to the pool and posting a score of 298.58 to account for 18 of the Redbirds’ 182 total points in the win. Her performance in the 3-meter diving event is a career-best for the junior.
