MVC Offensive Player of the Week
Jenna Szczesny, Sr., F, Loyola (Hoffman Estates, Ill.)
Loyola senior Jenna Szczesny scored two goals and dished out an assist to help lead the Ramblers to a 4-2 road victory over UNI to open Missouri Valley Conference play on Sunday afternoon in Waterloo, Iowa.  After converting from the penalty spot in the 20th minute of play, Szczesny provided the assist on the eventual game-winning tally by fellow senior Madison Kimball in the 42nd minute before adding her second goal of the day during the early stages of the second half.  The Hoffman Estates, Ill. product currently leads the Ramblers in goals (5), assists (4) and overall points (14). 
 
MVC Defensive Player of the Week
Michaela Till, So., GK, Evansville (Avon, Ind.)
In the Aces’ MVC opener, sophomore goalkeeper Michaela Till showed her strength between the posts. Facing an Indiana State side that came in to the match averaging over two goals per match and was fresh-off an eight-goal performance the previous weekend, Till kept the Sycamores off the scoreboard and helped lead the Aces to a 1-0 overtime win on Saturday. The junior made five saves in goal, bringing her season total to 54 and career total to 109, moving Till into 10th all-time at UE in career saves.
 
MVC Newcomer of the Week
Alison Walls, Fr. F, Drake (Kansas City, Mo.)
Freshman Alison Walls assisted on Shelley Lyjak’s golden goal over Valpo Sunday. Walls had her shot blocked but got the ball back and passed it sideways to Lyjak who scored 15 yards out. Walls has played in all 11 matches this season and leads the squad in assists with two and is tied for the team lead in goals with two.
 
In addition to the league’s Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week and Newcomer of the Week selections, several conference players had notable performances, and they include:
