MVC Offensive Player of the Week
Jordan Eickelman, So., F, Missouri State (Derby, Kan.)
Jordan Eickelman notched two goals included the game winner in overtime at Tulsa, solidifying a comeback 3-2 victory. Trailing 2-0 headed into the second half, Eickelman put Missouri State on the board in the opening minutes with a 10-yard shot into the lower left corner. Her final blow came in overtime with a 18-yard rocket into the middle of the net to seal the victory. The two goals were a career high for Eickelman, and she helped the Bears stay a perfect 2-0 on the week. One of eight players to record a shot in a 1-0 shutout over Western Illinois.
 
MVC Defensive Player of the Week
Haley Smith, Jr., GK, Illinois State (Fall River, Nova Scotia)
Smith held strong in goal in an opening week that saw Illinois State going undefeated (1-0-1). She had nine saves in an overtime battle Thursday night with CSUN, with four of them occurring after fulltime. Smith finished the week with 13 saves after adding four more in an Eastern Michigan shutout Sunday night. Smith now has 170 career saves and 15 career shutouts.
 
MVC Newcomer of the Week
Alison Walls, Fr., F, Drake (Kansas City, Mo.)
Alison Walls made an immediate impact in her first career match. Walls scored her first career goal just five minutes in of the season opener against San Francisco. In the Bulldogs’ second match against Fresno State, she assisted on the game winning goal by Olivia Bruce. Walls leads the team in points with three and is tied for the team lead in goals with one.
