MOLINE, Ill. - After trailing 2-0, UNI never trailed again and earned a 56-36 win in the quarterfinal round of the MVC Women's Basketball Tournament Friday night at TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Illinois.

The Redbirds’ season-low 36 points are the second-lowest tournament-game total in Valley history and the combined score of 92 points is the sixth-fewest points by both teams in a Valley Tournament game.

UNI's Megan Maahs led the Panthers with 15 points and seven rebounds and Kennedy Kirkpatrick added 10 points in the win. 

Illinois State received10 points and six rebounds from Simone Goods in the loss. 

UNI will take on No. 2 Missouri State in Saturday's second semifinal at 4:00 p.m.
