Akis Medrano, Jr., Indiana State (Boswell, Ind.)
Akis Medrano put on an impressive performance in the mile run at the EIU Friday Night Special, earning another top-10 performance for the year. Medrano now owns the eighth-best time in school history after crossing the finish line at 4:07.67, good enough fifth-place among some of the nation's best. He now has the fourth overall time in the MVC.

Jared Kern, Sr., Southern Illinois (Machesney Park, Ill.)
Jared Kern won the shot put at the EIU Friday Night Special with a season-best toss of 65’-5.5". Kern’s mark at Friday's last chance meet bolsters his MVC lead in the event and ranks as the fifth-best mark in the nation.

Ayanna Morgan, Jr., Indiana State (St. Thomas, Barbados)
Ayanna Morgan claimed victory in the 60-meter hurdles in the most impressive performance of the night at the EIU Friday Night Special, crossing the line at 8.39 for the school record which overtakes Carmelia Stewart's time of 8.42 from 2014. Morgan once again sits alone at the top of the Missouri Valley.

Female Field
Alexis Roberson, So., Southern Illinois (Jefferson City, Mo.)
Alexis Roberson won the weight throw at the EIU Friday Night Special with a mark of 65’ (19.81m). Roberson threw 65' (19.81m) on both her third and fifth throws to win the event and has now thrown 65-plus feet four times this season. Roberson is ranked 26th in the weight nationally and has the top mark in the MVC this season.
