Three Named to Women’s Soccer CoSIDA Academic All-America Team

ST. LOUIS – Three women’s soccer players have been named to the 2018 CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division I Women's Soccer Team, as chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Illinois State’s Kate Del Fava represents the MVC on the second-team. The junior midfielder boasts a perfect 4.00 in animal science and pre-veterinary medicine.

Drake’s Linda Fiorito and Indiana State’s Katie Wells were The Valley’s two honorees on the third-team. Fiorito. Fiorito boasts a 4.00 in marketing, while Wells holds a 3.96 in athletic training.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed on the nomination form.
