Jaylan McConico, So., Illinois State (Bolingbrook, Ill.)
Competing against MVC-foe Indiana State in Friday’s Terre Haute Double-Dual, hosted by Rose-Hulman, McConico re-set his own 60-meter hurdles school record that he previously established at the EIU Early Bird Meet on Dec. 8, 2017. McConico won the event with a time of 7.84, a mark which currently ranks first in the Valley and eighth in all of Division I. His performance helped the Redbirds hoist the Coughlin-Malloy Cup for the first time in 12 seasons.

Isaac Ingram, Sr., Southern Illinois (Harrisburg, Ill.)
Isaac Ingram won the weight throw at the Illini Open with a season-best toss. Ingram won the event for the second-straight meet with a season-best toss of 68’-9.75” (20.97m). In doing so, the Harrisburg, Ill. native now ranks 14th nationally, and first in the Missouri Valley Conference in the event.

Female Track
Taylor Austin, Sr., Indiana State (Griffith, Ind.)
Taylor Austin dominated the women's mile run for ISU at the Terre Haute Double Dual, setting the new meet record at 4:51.08, overtaking the previous meet record set by Illinois State's Kelly McShea by over four seconds. Austin's time was also a new personal-best, and moved her up to third on the ISU all-time list. She still holds the top time in the MVC and is 19th overall in the nation with a converted time of 4:48.23.

Alexis Roberson, So., Southern Illinois (Jefferson City, Mo.)
Alexis Roberson set a personal-best in the weight throw at the Illini Open to win her first event title of the season. Roberson’s winning toss of 66’-3” (20.19m) not only marked the second-straight meet in which she has set a PR, but it ranks her 15th nationally in the event and is the top mark in the Missouri Valley Conference.
