The 2003 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Tournament concluded Saturday with championship match of the tournament. The No. 2 seeded Panthers of UNI defeated No. 1 SMS, 3-1, to take home their sixth-straight MVC Tournament title. This is the first time in the history of the Valley Volleyball Tournament that a team other than the No. 1 seed took home the championship.  Game scores in favor of the Panthers: 30-22, 17-30, 30-25, 30-25.
